Personal Locator Beacon (Notfunkgerät)

In case of an emergency this ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter), also called Personal Locator Beacon, can save a pilot's life. If a pilot has to leave his airplane, the beacon-mode is automatically activated at the international military band of 243.00 Mhz. A beacon-signal, which is automatically monitored by every military airplane, even by satellites, is constantly transmitted. Furthermore, speech transmission and reception is possible as well. Furthermore, this receiver-transmitter has an auxiliary channel, fixed at 282,8 MHz.

Mounted with the Ejection Seat in the PSP Container

The Rest of the Survival Gear is packed into the yellow PSP (Personal Survival Package) Container,
the seat Part of the Ejection Seat. The PSP is bound with the Life Vest (See Arrows) to avoid loss in Case of Ejection.
The Life Boat mechanism is Water activated; it automaticly blows up when it falls into water.
